Position Summary: Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Research Teaching Specialist III for NJMS- Public Health Research Institute. Under the direction of the Principal Investigator, conducts research activities to elucidate the mechanism of bacterial transformation. This requires skills in bacterial genetics, preferably using Bacillus subtilis, protein overexpression and purification, molecular genetics, the in vitro characterization of protein activities and the structural characterization of purified proteins.Among the key duties of this position are the following:Cultures B. subtilis and E. coli and conducts genetic manipulations with these bacteria.Provides
