UCSF Junior Specialist - Xu LabThe Xu Lab at the UCSF Diabetes Center is seeking to fill a position of Junior Specialist. The overall research focus is to understand the mechanisms behind obesity and type 2 diabetes. Our work focuses on elucidating the functions of the brain neuronal circuits in adaptive regulation of food intake, energy expenditure, glucose and lipid metabolism in response to physiological and environmental changes such as high-fat feeding and aging. The major responsibilities of the position include performing experiments, maintaining animal colony, keeping the lab in compliance with university regulatory protocols, ordering supplies and equipment maintenance, and other tasks as assigned.
