Position Summary:

• Oversight and coordination of all aspects of personnel management, including but not limited to staff hiring, reappointment, and organizing documentation related to VISA processing, faculty hiring, promotion and tenure process.
• Serve as strategic partner to chair and faculty on advancing planning and administrative operations, provide general office management and oversight of day-to-day operations, including supervision of two staff.
• Financial management functions including management of department budgets, coordination of service centers, account reconciliation, reporting, auditing and implementation of internal controls that ensure compliance with university policies and procedures.
• Working cooperatively with department faculty and staff to enhance effectiveness of department on a wide variety of administrative tasks related to planning, operations, resource management, and departmental event coordination, proactively identifying areas for improvement.
• Support the chair in data analysis, department resource planning and annual budgeting process.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree with 2 years of experience or a master's degree or professional certification

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree
• Demonstrated experience and proficiency in finance (budget development and reporting), business, and/or accounting
• Experience in human resources
• Experience in grants management
• Experience working in a decanal unit in higher education
