Bioinformatics Researcher
Apply knowledge of bioinformatics theory and methods to facilitate the discovery, validation, and implementation of candidate target genes and proteins in cancer diagnosis, prognosis, and therapy for the Michigan Otolaryngology and Translational Oncology Lab (MiOTO). Identify suitable methods for quantitative informatics-driven computing science; make preliminary interpretation of results from analysis of large and complex biological, clinical, and ‘omics datasets; determine the consistency of expected results and develop custom pipelines and reproducible analysis workflows for individual projects; manage databases, including conducting statistical and genomic/transcriptomic analysis on several data sets
