Post-Doctoral Associate: Microbiology and Immunology
75%: Independent research and data analysis:Lead projects focused on characterizing the role of the Mycobacterium tuberculosis ESX-5 Type VII secretion system in bacterial physiology and pathogenesis. The candidate will use a variety of experimental techniques including construction of genetically modified M. tuberculosis strains, protein extraction and Western blotting, gene expression analysis, macrophage and mouse infection models, fluorescence microscopy and flow cytometry. The candidate will work independently to execute and troubleshoot experiments and analyze the results.
