This role is a key position in the laboratory of Dr. Brian O'Roak studying the genetic basis of neurodevelopment disorders, such as autism and neural tube defects. In addition, single April 2020, the lab has been leading the SARS-CoV-2 genome sequencing efforts in Oregon. Responsibilities include: Plans, conducts, and completes laboratory experiments under the supervision of the head of the laboratory. Specific duties will include assistance with mouse colony management and husbandry, tissue dissection, and genotyping.
