Northeastern's Burlington Innovation Campus is seeking individuals passionate about advancing new scientific technologies in the Biotech space, with a particular emphasis on Cell and Gene Therapy. The Biopharmaceutical Analysis Training Laboratory (BATL) are actively developing cutting-edge workflows for Cell and Gene Therapy processes, and additional staff support is needed to assist senior scientists in fully building out these innovations.
Our labs focus on research projects aimed at transforming current practices in cell isolation, vector manufacturing, and advanced characterization. We are dedicated to evaluating the value of emerging technologies such as AI/ML for both academia and industry and providing critical support to bridge identified gaps.
Candidates should be flexible, adaptable, and comfortable working in an interdisciplinary environment. Daily activities will involve a combination of wet-bench experimentation, instrumentation operation, and hands-on workforce training with the equipment and techniques central to our research.
Join us to be at the forefront of scientific innovation while helping to shape the future of the biotech workforce.
Responsibilities:
Execute and adhere to all safety protocol relating to a laboratory, including handling of hazardous biological agents and chemicals as well as potentially hazardous chemicals; hazard clean-up, as well as universal precautions and infection control procedures
Maintain complete and accurate lab quality control procedures and the follow through of OSHA and other safety guidelines
Follow the laboratory's procedures for specimen handling and processing, test analyses, reporting and maintaining records of patient test results
Adhere to the laboratory's quality control policies, document all quality control activities, instrument and procedural calibrations and maintenance performed
Follow the laboratory's established policies and procedures whenever test systems are not within the laboratory's established acceptable levels of performance
