The Koch lab is located in the Yale School of Medicine which offers an outstanding training environment for postdoctoral scientists, with state-of-the-art research facilities and vast resources to support professional development.
Responsibilities
Develop bioinformatics pipelines for the analysis of large genomic datasets
Derivation of novel statistical and theoretical models
Prepare manuscripts for publication
Attend and present at lab meetings, departmental seminars, and conferences
Participating in collaborations with other labs and consortia
Contribute to the mentoring of students and junior scientists in the lab
Application for independent funding and assisting the PI in the preparation of grant proposals
Mentoring & Professional Development
We have a strong emphasis on mentorship and value the opportunity to train future leaders in human genetics. The PI will work with the successful candidate to develop and implement a mentorship plan tailor-made for their goals and interests. Mentorship will be provided for fellowship applications, manuscript writing, presentations, and independence.
