Position Summary:
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Temporary Research Assistant for NJMS- Microbiology, Biochemistry & Molecular Genetics. The purpose of this position is to provide cellular, genetic, molecular, and biochemical support at Dr. Sugimoto's lab.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:

- Performs laboratory research requiring analysis of yeast cells and mammalian and application of standard cellular, molecular, biochemical, and genetic procedures
- Maintains necessary lab records, databases, and files as hard copies and computer files.
- Does serial dilutions of biological organisms to assess numbers.
- Maintains and manages lab supplies
- Follows protocols to conduct basic molecular genetic and cell biology experiments
Minimum Education and Experience:
- Bachelor of Science or higher degree(s) and qualifications in lab technology, sufficient capacity and experience to gain expertise in the above duties.

Standing, sitting, walking, talking, or hearing. No special vision requirements. Must be able to lift or exert force up to ten (10) pounds.
