Job Description:
The Kim Lab in the Department of Biology at Syracuse University is seeking a curious and creative Postdoctoral Researcher to join our team. We study how epigenetic and genetic states shape cell fate decisions, enabling plants to adapt to changing environments. Our research explores cell fate reprogramming in response to intrinsic and extrinsic cues, focusing on its role in plant development and stress adaptation. We take a multidisciplinary approach, integrating epigenomics, functional genomics, biochemistry, proteomics, cell biology, and molecular genetics to uncover the underlying mechanisms. We welcome a motivated researcher eager to contribute to cutting-edge discoveries at the intersection of epigenetics, development, and environmental adaptation in plants.
Qualifications:
A Ph.D. in Plant Molecular Biology, Genomics, Genetics, Biochemistry, Systems Biology, or a related field is required at the time of appointment. Candidates must demonstrate strong research potential through a solid publication record or significant research accomplishments.

Leading cutting-edge research in plant molecular biology, functional genomics, cell biology, biochemistry, and molecular genetics; designing and executing experiments to uncover fundamental biological mechanisms.
Preparing fellowship proposals and manuscripts and assisting with grant writing.
Inspiring and mentoring graduate and undergraduate students; fostering a collaborative and dynamic research environment.
