The Lacruz laboratory in the Department of Molecular Pathobiology at New York University is seeking outstanding candidates for a Postdoctoral Associate position. This is initially a two-year position and can be extended depending on funding. The lab focuses on the role of calcium signaling in various diseases. Topics of interest can be discussed based on the candidate’s experience and the lab research goals. Candidates are required to have experience in standard molecular biology techniques (e.g. cell culture, animal dissection, protein and gene expression assays) as well as being knowledgeable on the use of calcium probes and live cell calcium imaging.
In compliance with NYC’s Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is $62,500 - $70,000. New York University considers factors such as (but not limited to) the specific grant funding and the terms of the research grant when extending an offer.
Education Requirement:
Candidates are required to have a PhD degree at the time of submission.
Responsibilities and Duties:
Perform experiments independently and contribute to the development of the various projects,
Write scientific papers,
Attend scientific conferences and present results
Write fellowship grants to NIH
