We are seeking a Biostatistician who carries out, under supervision of multiple faculty members, statistical analyses of clinical and laboratory studies. This individual also participates in the design of clinical and laboratory studies with supervision as above. Utilizes standard and non-standard biostatistics or bioinformatics methodologies in the design of studies and the production of statistical analyses. Collaborates with investigators in the preparation of presentations and publications. Functions also include working on methodologic research of the faculty.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities
Consults with clinical and laboratory investigators to determine their needs with respect to statistical design of studies in collaboration with a member of the faculty.
Carries out appropriate methodologic procedures for statistical analysis; overall descriptive statistics; exploratory data analyses, including graphs, summary statistics, and necessary transformations; and confirmatory data analyses, including statistical tests and/or models.
Identify potential problems with study data and collaborate with research team to resolve issues encountered;
Performs sample size and power calculations, generates randomization schema, and prepares statistical sections for research protocols and manuscripts.
Prepares written reports of statistical analyses, including relevant statistical theory, references, methods, results, and conclusions.
Writes statistical design, methods, and analysis sections for research proposals.
Writes computer code to evaluate study designs and to accomplish the actual statistical analyses.
Interprets and analyzes the results of statistical analyses. Prepares interim and final reports of studies.
Participates in regularly scheduled meetings with study investigators and team. Prepares progress reports, as needed.
Maintain appropriate systems for database associated management.
Keep abreast of technical and academic resources related to the methodology of statistical analyses.
Conduct multivariable modeling
Conduct regression analyses
Conduct longitudinal data analysis as for epidemiologic data using above methods.
Master's Degree in Biostatistics, Epidemiology, or related Quantitative field.
One year related experience.
Demonstrated ability on significant graduate project or additional doctoral education may substitute for experience to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.

Experience with large epidemiologic data sets is preferred.
Experience with other large biologic data sets such as in bulk and single cell RNA seq would be beneficial, but is not required.
