Job Summary:
Tenure-track Assistant Professor, Comparative Biology. The Maxwell Becton College of Arts and Sciences at Fairleigh Dickinson University, Metropolitan Campus, Teaneck and Hackensack, New Jersey, seeks a broadly trained Animal Comparative Biologist. Familiarity with bioinformatics is a plus. The appointment is planned to begin August 2023. The successful candidate will participate in teaching undergraduate courses, courses related to their area of specialization, as well as teach upper-level courses in their area of specialty. The successful candidate is also expected to maintain a record of scholarship and develop an active undergraduate research program that is open to graduate students.
Required Qualifications:
Applicants must have a Ph.D. in Biology with an emphasis in Animal Comparative Biology or Cell Biology with postdoctoral research and teaching experience preferred.
Employment is contingent upon a satisfactory background check. Candidates for hire will be required to sign a waiver authorizing the background check and produce a Social Security Card.
