Title of position Post-doctoral Fellow
Description of Position Postdoctoral research fellowships for highly qualified applicants are now available in the lab of Dr. Andrew M. Lowy at the UC San Diego Moores Cancer Center. The laboratory focuses on a broad range of questions relevant to our understanding of pancreatic cancer biology as well as the development and testing of new agents to control the disease. We are seeking postdoctoral scholars interested in research on signaling, drug resistance, metastasis and the tumor immune microenvironment within the pancreatic cancer microenvironment. Among the current research projects include how epigenetics regulate the state of the epithelial and immune components of the tumor to promote tumor progression and metastasis. The postdoctoral scholar will reside in a supportive environment with experienced mentors that will provide an outstanding research experience combined with training in grant writing and other critical academic skills. Applicants with a recent Ph.D. or M.D./Ph.D., publications in major journals and a strong background in cancer immunology, signal transduction, biochemistry, cell biology, animal models and/or imaging are encouraged to apply.
