Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center is an independent, nonprofit organization providing adult cancer treatment and groundbreaking research focused on cancer and infectious diseases. Based in Seattle, Fred Hutch is the only National Cancer Institute-designated cancer center in Washington.

We have an open postdoc position to work on combing multiplexed CRISPR screening with high-content read-outs such as single-cell RNA sequencing and spatial imaging to study the molecular mechanism underlying hematopoiesis, hematologic malignancies and autoimmune diseases. The successful candidate will have a strong background in CRISPR technology or epigenomic regulation, and ideally both.
Responsibilities
You will have the opportunity to work on novel genetic technologies and leading-edge research problems in hematologic malignancies and autoimmune diseases: develop multiplexed CRISPR screening platform for systematically mapping non-coding regulatory networks; work with computational researchers to develop disease risk scores by modelling non-coding regulatory networks.
The position will come with a competitive postdoc salary with great benefits for one year, with possibility of extension. Fred Hutchinson Cancer Research Center, home of about 190 faculty including three Nobel laureates, is an independent, nonprofit research institution dedicated to the development and advancement of biomedical research. The environment is lively yet casual, with a strong emphasis on collaborative work. The Center is housed in a lovely campus next to Lake Union a short walk from downtown, and a slightly longer walk from the University of Washington. Qualifications
Minimum qualifications:
- PhD and/or MD with training in one of these areas: molecular biology, hematopoiesis, hematologic malignancies, autoimmune diseases, or other related fields.
- Strong research experience in CRISPR technology, particularly CRISPR screening
- Clear ability for independent research

The annual base salary range for this position is from $65,484 to $100,000 and pay offered will be based on experience and qualifications.
