Postdoctoral Researcher (Cannabis Sativia, Cannabis Breeding)
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Postdoctoral Research Fellow to join our dynamic industrial hemp (Cannabis sativa) research team at the Cooperative Agricultural Research Center (CARC). Our focus is on advancing Cannabis breeding through innovative approaches in speed breeding, plant genetics, genomics, and stress tolerance. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of the Research Scientist, playing a critical role in studies related to controlled environment agriculture (CEA), genetics, genome-based breeding, and biotic and abiotic stress tolerance in Cannabis. The position involves utilizing next-generation sequencing (NGS) and advanced genome analysis techniques, as well as demonstrating proficiency in applying bioinformatic tools in plant biology.
