Graduate student position (University of Saskatchewan - Canada)
The Wu laboratory at the University of Saskatchewan is currently recruiting prospective M.Sc. or Ph.D. students to undertake research in the areas of stress biology and aging. The Wu lab takes a molecular genetics approach using the model system Caenorhabditis elegans to uncover environmental chemicals that are deleterious to the cell and aim to discover underlying genetic factors that regulate how cells protect against these stressors. Currently, an active area of interest is in understanding how environmental stress affects RNA metabolism and histone processing in the context of stress resistance and aging. The prospective student will learn and develop various skills in molecular biology and genetics along with high-throughput genetic and chemical screens. Recent publ
