The Rockefeller University seeks a Research Assistant (Salary Range: $46K-$50K) to join Casanova Laboratory. The Research Assistant will be assisting a research team, consisting of one associate professor and four PhD students or post-doc, studying human genetics and immunological basis of severe viral diseases. Job responsibilities mainly include: being in charge of the culture, characterization and storage of patient-specific induced pluripotent stem cell (iPSC) lines of the lab, and maintain a growing database of the iPSC lines; being responsible for maintaining a stock and database of human DNA samples; performing routine assays related to antiviral immune responses in human fibroblasts; and providing technical support to ongoing projects of the post-docs and students of the team.
