Experienced scheduler with proven ability to function at a high level to collaborate with providers, patients/families, nursing, and procedural/testing units to schedule new patient referrals and other complex scheduling needs for the Inherited Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy Program, including associated Genetic Counseling services.
Essential:
New patient referral scheduling, including coordination of associated diagnostic testing and genetic counseling appointments.
Manage phone calls from internal and external customers related to new patient referral scheduling.
Routine and urgent follow up scheduling needs as tasked via Michart inbasket.
Opening/Closing Clinics. Appointment reschedules resulting from clinic closures/grid redesign.
Return visit scheduling needs that require overbook/incremental access coordination with providers
Complex management of diagnostic testing in coordination with clinic appointments, as well as clinical research trial requirements.
Provide expert skill at clinic scheduling/grid management and adherence to standard work procedures, including thorough documentation standards.
Anticipate and problem solve issues with clinic and ancillary testing schedules.
Serve as a role model for service excellence and FCVC core values.
Staff members in this classification are expected to exercise judgement in identifying problems, seeking and implementing solutions.

High School Diploma or GED
3 – 4 years of experience.
Knowledge of basic medical terminology.
Prior experience performing complex scheduling

Previous experience working with clinical staff (nurses, mid-level providers, and physicians).
Experience working within a large, complex, outpatient healthcare setting.
Knowledge of MiChart (EPIC-Cadence) and ORMIS scheduling; demonstrated proficiency with MiChart, Careweb, Microsoft Outlook, and ability to navigate between systems.
Shift/Days: 8:00-5:00, Monday-Friday, onsite
