The Department of Genetics at Stanford University School of Medicine is seeking to fill a Non-Tenure Line (Research) position at the Assistant or Associate Professor level. Although all areas of research will be considered, we are particularly interested in candidates who have a Ph.D. and/or M.D. degree who have a record of achievement in developing or using innovative approaches in the area of data management and visualization within the field of genetics. Candidates should be highly interactive, be expected to run a successful, independent research program of excellence and to participate in teaching and other activities in the department.
The major criterion for appointment for faculty in the Non-Tenure Line (Research) is evidence of high-level performance as a researcher for whose special knowledge a programmatic need exists. Areas of programmatic need include (but are not limited to) investigators with experience in creating, managing and mining resources for multi-investigator collaborations in model organism databases, broad mammalian ‘omic’ databases, and clinical data repositories linked to molecular data. The ability to write and lead grants in the creation and/or expansion of such resources is critical. Faculty rank will be determined by the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate(s).

The expected base pay range for this position is:
Assistant Professor: $177,000 - $195,000
Associate Professor: $209,000 - $233,000
This pay range reflects base pay, which is based on faculty rank and years in rank. It may not include all components of faculty compensation or pay from participation in departmental incentive compensation programs.
