Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow in Cancer Immunotherapy in Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey.
A Postdoctoral Fellow position is available at Rutgers Cancer Institute of New Jersey to conduct research on tumor immunology with a focus on the discovery and development of T cell therapy for cancer, including tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes and gene-engineered T cells. Postdoctoral Fellows are expected to establish an innovative, collaborative research program addressing important and fundamental questions. Active areas of research include T cell receptor discovery, membrane-tethered cytokine technologies, tumor resistance mutations, target antigen discovery, and preclinical development of new TCR-based treatments. Interdisciplinary and translational approaches are encouraged. Qualified candidates must be in the process of completing or have finished the training for their Ph.D. and/or M.D. Candidates must provide proof all requirements have been fulfilled before their position start date. Preferred: graduates with a strong publication record and looking to move to the next stage of their training.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
Conducts multidisciplinary research in the area of tumor immunology and cancer immunotherapy with a focus on the discovery and development of T cell therapy for cancer, including tumor-infiltrating lymphocytes and gene engineered T cells.
Prepares written reports of the research experiments.
Prepares grant proposals based on the research conducted.
Gives oral presentations of the research.
