Job DescriptionPosition SummaryThe Orthopaedic Research Laboratories (PI: Audrey McAlinden) in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at Washington University in Saint Louis, has an opening for a post-doctoral research associate effective immediately. The post-doc will work on NIH-funded studies to investigate the role of microRNAs (miRNAs) in cartilage and bone development and homeostasis.Research will involve utilizing approaches to modulate miRNA expression in vitro to determine effects on skeletal progenitor cell differentiation. There will also be opportunities to elucidate miRNA function in vivo via analysis of new transgenic mouse models as well as pre-clinical animal models of osteoarthritis, heterotopic ossification or fracture repair.
