Junior Specialist- Ashrafi Lab
Junior Specialist- Ashrafi LabThe Junior Specialist position is a laboratory-based research position using biochemical, small molecule, and molecular genetic approaches in C. elegans to understand the relationship between a steroid signaling pathway, aging, and learning and memory. A successful applicant will be responsible for conducting, under supervision, biochemical analysis including protein purification and chromatography, molecular genetics analysis including cloning and construction of nucleic acid reagents. These reagents will then be used in C. elegans. Analysis of these reagents in C. elegans will involve microscopy based imaging and RNAi screens. The candidate will help maintain and oversee laboratory reagents
