The School of Public Health (SPH) is seeking applications for a part-time (20 hrs/wk) Data Analyst (8352P2 Research Professional 2).

The position will work within a team as the primary data analyst for a multi-site study about maternal and infant nutrition, under the direction and support of the study principal investigator. Other members of the team include internal and external investigators, and internal and external study coordinators and other study staff. The job is flexible regarding virtual and in-person work hours, to be determined by the employee and the supervisor. 

Data Analysis (90%)

• Manage study data in RedCap

• Use data in RedCap to track enrollment and study data completion

• Create analytic datasets for investigators

• Conduct quality control procedures on RedCap data

• Data analysis (primarily descriptive statistics and linear regression with creation of tables and figures on occasion). 

Other (10%)

• Attend about approximately 2 meetings per week with study staff and investigators.

• Depending on time and interest, analyst may carve out papers related to the study for analysis and write-up as first author.

• Other duties as assigned

Work Arrangements: flexible and hybrid

Starting pay is dependent upon the selected candidate’s relevant qualifications and internal equity: $21-25/hr and at 50% $21,840-$26,000 annually

All required qualifications must be documented on application materials.

Required Qualifications:

• BA/BS in biostatistics, bioinformatics, health sciences, social sciences or related field and at least 2 years of related experience or a combination of related education and work experience to equal 6 years

• Proficiency using RedCap and statistical analysis software. 

Preferred Qualifications:

• Masters’ Degree in Epidemiology, Biostatistics, or related field

• At least 2 years of experience using RedCap to manage research, clinical, or public health data and at least 2 years of experience using SAS/Stata/R to create and manage research, clinical or public health data.
