The Dage Lab at Indiana University School of Medicine (IUSM) is seeking applications for a post-doctoral scholar in the Alzheimer's disease and related dementias (ADRD) biomarker discovery and development laboratory. The successful applicant will be a Ph.D. scientist motivated to conduct laboratory projects as well as biostatistical and bioinformatics data analysis. Specifically, the successful applicant will be expected to conduct research pertaining to the identification of potential biomarkers through integration of genetics, proteomics, transcriptomics and targeted immunoaffinity data. In addition, the applicant will participate in the design and generation of novel reagents for the specific and reliable measurement of potential ADRD biomarkers in cells, animal models, and human tissues.
A good publication record and interests in one of the following areas is desired: ADRD, quantitative analysis of proteins or other biomolecules, quantitative or qualitative protein mass spectrometry, bioinformatic analysis of RNA sequencing data, antibody generation and engineering.

The Target Enablement to Accelerate Therapy Development for Alzheimer's Disease (TREAT-AD) center at IUSM is a collaboration with Purdue University and provides added infrastructure for developing high-quality research tools and technologies needed to validate and advance the next generation of drug targets for Alzheimer's disease.
The Indiana Alzheimer's Disease Research Center is a leading research resource in Indiana for Alzheimer's disease and other related dementias. As one of only 32 NIA-designated Alzheimer's Disease Research Centers in the United States, the center has a thirty year history of continuous NIA sponsored research on AD spanning a broad range from basic cellular/molecular to clinical studies. Translational biomarkers are a current high priority area.
The Longitudinal Early-onset Alzheimer's Disease Study (LEADS) is a nationwide study of a rare and particularly devastating early-onset form of Alzheimer's that afflicts patients younger than 65 years of age. LEADS seeks to understand why some people develop Alzheimer's disease so early, look for genetic determinants of the disease and track the disease's progression.
