The Ophthalmology department at the Novartis Institutes for BioMedical Research (NIBR) is seeking an experienced, talented, motivated scientist to join the gene therapy unit in our mission to develop transformative AAV-based gene therapies to treat patients with blinding diseases. The successful candidate will have strong technical skills in molecular biology, cell culture and cell-based assays, a proven track record of productive, independent work, and a commitment to working toward a common goal. The candidate will work collaboratively with groups in the Ophthalmology Disease Area and across divisions at NIBR. This individual will report findings effectively by oral and written presentation. Applicants should possess excellent record keeping and organizational skills.
