We are an independent, not-for-profit research organization affiliated with the University of California San Francisco (UCSF) and located in an award winning building at UCSF’s Mission Bay Campus. We aim to contribute to the health and wellbeing of all people through research, education and outreach in the areas of neuroscience, brain disorders, cardiovascular disease, stem cell technology, virology and immunology. We invite applications for a faculty position at the rank of Assistant, Associate or Senior Investigator at the Gladstone Institute of Cardiovascular Disease. The successful candidate will have joint appointments as Assistant, Associate or Full Professor in the In Residence faculty series in the Department of Pediatrics or another suitable Department, and in relevant Graduate Training Programs at UCSF.

Gladstone is highly collaborative and closely affiliated with the University of California San Francisco (UCSF) and located in the rapidly expanding Mission Bay area of UCSF. Gladstone is comprised of the Gladstone Institute of Cardiovascular Disease, the Gladstone Institute of Neurological Disease, the Gladstone Institute of Virology, the Gladstone/UCSF Institute of Genomic Immunology, and the Gladstone Institute of Datascience and Biotechnology, together providing a rich and diverse basic science community.
Gladstone, in conjunction with the department of Pediatrics and other relevant programs at UCSF, seeks to recruit in the area of cardiovascular science. We invite applications from scientists with Ph.D., M.D., or M.D/Ph.D. degrees who are establishing or have established a research program in cardiovascular research.
Qualifications The applicant should have a demonstrated interest in understanding the basic mechanisms of cardiovascular disease. Research interests in cardiovascular disease genetics and genomics, or heart failure and cardiovascular physiology will be prioritized to provide synergistic opportunities with other faculty at Gladstone.
Candidates will be considered at all levels. The successful candidate will be appointed in the department of Pediatrics at UCSF and may be affiliated with UCSF programs such as the Cardiovascular Research Institute and the Institute for Human Genetics, as well as appropriate graduate programs.
