Path 1: Research Assistant: Developmental Toxicology, Genetics and Genomics - Sadler Edepli Laboratory
Embryonic development requires a robust response to environmental stress.  Toxicants in the environment can alter directly alter the developmental program and can have sustained effects over the lifetime of the animal.  Our work in this area uses zebrafish and mice as whole animal models and we use genomics in all aspects of the work. This research assistant position in the Sadler (Edepli) laboratory will provide technical and project management support to research projects focused on the stress response in embryos and long term impact of toxicant exposures using animal models.   This project involves both classical genetics and environmental toxicology approaches in zebrafish embryos and a strong molecular biology knowledge base to enable generation of zebrafish mutants using CRISPR/Ca
