The Staff Research Associate I/II (SRA I/II) position is for a research work in the laboratory. The research program uses proteomics and functional genetics to identify therapeutic vulnerabilities in Gastroenterology (GI) cancers. The primary responsibility will be validating the results of previously completed CRISPRi screens with multiple cell-based assays, and making medium scale dual-guide EnCas12a libraries for screening in several systems. As the role develops, it may be possible to take primary responsibility for a project in the lab and have a key role in its completion, likely either studying response and resistance to direct KRAS inhibition in colorectal cancer or a drug development project which includes both in vitro biochemistry and cellular experiments.
