JOB SUMMARY

The Postdoctoral Research Associate will conduct independent and collaborative research in the field of network science, with applications to nutrition, biological networks, network medicine, and the science of science. The position involves developing and applying computational, analytical, and data-driven approaches, preparing publications and presentations, and contributing to the broader scientific mission of the BarabasiLab. The associate will also engage in mentoring and collaboration with graduate students and external partners.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Knowledge of complex systems, network science, bioinformatics, and computational modeling, with the ability to design and implement independent research projects. Strong skills in data analysis, visualization, and scientific writing are required. These skills are normally acquired through a Ph.D. in Physics, Network Science, Bioinformatics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field, plus demonstrated research experience and peer-reviewed publications.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Conduct original research in network science, bioinformatics, and related fields, including data collection, computational modeling, and analysis (60%);
  
• Disseminate research findings through peer-reviewed publications, conference presentations, and grant proposals (20%);
  
• Mentor and collaborate with graduate students and lab members to advance ongoing projects and support training (15%); and
  
• Contribute to laboratory management and collaborative initiatives within the BarabasiLab and with external partners (5%)

Expected Hiring Range:
$60,315.00 - $85,192.50

With the pay range(s) shown above, the starting salary will depend on several factors, which may include your education, experience, location, knowledge and expertise, and skills as well as a pay comparison to similarly-situated employees already in the role. Salary ranges are reviewed regularly and are subject to change.
