The UCSF Comprehensive Cancer Center provides multidisciplinary medical and supportive care to patients and their families with Cancer. The role of the genetic counselor is to work closely with the medical providers in the evaluation of patients and families at high risk for hereditary cancer. The position participates in both research and teaching objectives and is required to track data and report outcomes accordingly. The position participates and may also lead grant-writing and performance improvement initiatives.
