The Postdoctoral Scholar will participate in a lab-based research project that evaluates the drivers of eye diversity and function under dim-light environments. The post doc will integrate protein function, trait evolution, and large-scale phylogenomic analyses to address fundamental questions in evolutionary biology through means of expressing proteins in cell culture, phylogenetic analyses of large next-generation sequencing (NGS) datasets, and models of trait evolution.
