The laboratory of Dr. Donna Martin is recruiting postdoctoral research fellows interested in studying the underlying molecular, genetic, and epigenetic mechanisms of mammalian inner ear and brain development and function. The University of Michigan is a vibrant college town with a world-class research community. Our highly collaborative group explores developmental mechanisms in CHARGE, including diagnosis and treatment. Projects involve the use of stem cells and mouse models for functional studies. The goals of our research are to define roles for the chromodomain protein CHD7 (mutated in CHARGE) in cellular proliferation, differentiation, and fate.
