Post-Doctoral Associate
A post-doctoral associate (PDA) based at New York University (NYU) is required to work on topics related to primate genomics. The study seeks to investigate the underlying genetic components of the adaptive radiation and evolution of Amazonian primates– currently, 152 primate species and subspecies, and 19 genera. The PDA will use a combination of datasets, including whole-genome shotgun sequencing and Oxford Nanopore long reads, and will be working with bioinformatics pipelines for genomic analyses, including population genomics and genome assembly. This is part of new initiatives of genome sequencing of non-human primates that include a collaborative effort of researchers and institutions from several countries. The
