We invite applicants for a postdoctoral fellow position in the Sinclair Lab at Harvard Medical School in Boston Massachusetts. The Sinclair lab is known for their work on genes and small molecules that delay or reverse aging. They have identified a new approach to safely reverse the age of tissues and used it to restore the vision of old mice, a study that was recently on the cover of Nature. The lab has a wide range of expertise and interests, including cancer, neurodegeneration, blindness, diabetes, and muscle degeneration. We welcome applications from recent PhD graduates who are interested in these or related fields, particularly those who may bring a new technology or perspective to bear on the work in the lab.
The successful candidate will work with Dr. David Sinclair to develop an independent research project within the scope of the lab's focus on aging, genetics, and epigenetic reprogramming. In addition to carrying out bench research involving genetics and genomics, molecular and cellular biology techniques, epigenetics, and small animal husbandry, the successful candidate will be expected to apply for fellowship funding, contribute to the writing of grants and manuscripts, and participate in the mentoring and training of lab members as needed. The candidate will also contribute to the development and application of new approaches to safely reverse aging and treat both rare and common diseases, while actively supporting the collaborative and innovative environment of the lab.
