Position Summary: Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey invites applications for a Postdoctoral Associate position in the Neurosurgery Department, Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. Under the direction of the Principal Investigator, the Postdoctoral Associate would investigate brain injury-induced mechanisms that turn a healthy brain into a diseased brain, which includes conditions such as Epilepsy, Alzheimer's, and Parkinson's disease. A major focus is the identification of metabolism-based and epigenetic mechanisms, which lead to acquired pathology and to translate these findings into novel disease modifying therapeutic approaches.
