The Department of Microbiology and Immunology in the Renaissance School of Medicine at Stony Brook University invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position in the areas of virology and microbial pathogenesis.  Applicants working in virology, including molecular virology, viral pathogenesis, emerging viral pathogens, and novel models of viral disease, are particularly encouraged to apply.  The position will be part of a State University of New York Empire Innovation Program that seeks to build cross-disciplinary collaborations to advance disease prevention and treatment.  Applicants incorporating antiviral or antimicrobial drug development or novel therapeutic approaches against infections are particularly encouraged to apply.  S
