Position: Postdoctoral Research Associate Description: The Atkinson and Avalos laboratories in the Omenn-Darling Bioengineering Institute at Princeton University are seeking a full-time Postdoctoral Research Associate that will be jointly appointed in both research groups. The Atkinson lab focuses on using protein engineering, electrochemistry, and synthetic biology approaches to control gene expression and metabolism in microbes. The Avalos lab focuses on using optogenetics and metabolic engineering for engineering microorganisms for bioproduction. The main responsibilities of the Postdoctoral Research Associate are to lead the design and implementation of experiments for a DARPA-funded project starting in July 2025.
