Post-Doctoral Scholar
The Ambro van Hoof Lab is relocating to The Ohio State University is looking to hire a Postdoctoral Scholar to join our lab for a start date beginning or after August 15th 2025. Ambro van Hoof Lab is located within the Department of Molecular Genetics and the Center for RNA Biology, within the College of Arts and Sciences, and is focused on fundamental studies in the maturation and degradation of eukaryotic mRNA and the rich variety of ncRNAs and the role of RNases in maintaining cellular homeostasis. Many of the labs studies use the model eukaryote budding yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae. Additional applied aspects of our research are to understand how human mendelian diseases disrupt the RNA maturation and degradation machinery, and to develop tRNA ligase into an antifungal drug target
