Position Summary: Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Temporary Research Assistant for the Microbiology, Biochemistry and Molecular Genetics Department within New Jersey Medical School.Under the direction of the Principal Investigator, the TRA will engage in parasitology research related activities. The TRA will beresponsible for molecular biology, tissue culture, animal work, microscopy and maintaining a detailed laboratory notebook. Duties will also include general laboratory maintenance.Among the key duties of the position are the following:Protein expression and purification.Rodent (mouse and rat) surgeries, injections and colony maintenance.
