Position Summary:

• Works under the direction of the Principal Investigator.
• Carries out various experimental and bioinformatics studies in the area of 1) the regulation and function of tumor suppressor p53 and its gain-of-function mutants in cancer; 2) the role of tumor suppressors, including p53 and its target genes, in tumor microenvironment, metabolic reprogramming, tumor immunology, and cancer cachexia.
• Prepares written reports of research experiments.
• Prepares grant proposals based on research conducted.
• Gives oral presentations of the research.
• Assists with the publishing of scientific research papers/articles.

Minimum Education and Experience:

• Postdoctoral Associate candidate should have a new or recent PhD degree and strong background in molecular biology and cancer biology.
• Candidates must provide proof all requirements have been fulfilled before their position start date.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

• Laboratory work environment, with moderate noise.
• Exposure to biological specimens (cells, blood, tissues, etc.) with possible exposure to infectious diseases and hazardous chemicals, including therapeutic drugs.
• The laboratory environment operates under mandatory universal safety precautions.
