Postdoctoral Research Scientist
The Songtao Jia Lab in the Department of Biological Sciences at Columbia University invites applications for a NIH funded postdoctoral position at the rank of Postdoctoral Research Scientist. The appointments will be initially for one year with the possibility of renewal for up to a total of five years, contingent upon the availability of funds and satisfactory performance.  The Jia lab uses cutting-edge interdisciplinary approaches to study the mechanism of epigenetic inheritance. The central focus is to use heterochromatin assembly in fission yeast as a model to study how histone modifying enzymes are targeted to specific genomic locations and how they respond to environmental signals to regulate epigenetic inheritance.
