The Keck School of Medicine (KSOM) of the University of Southern California and Childrens Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) Department of Pathology & Laboratory Medicine, Division of Genomic Medicine and Center for Personalized Medicine, are seeking an outstanding candidate with expertise in the molecular genetics of childhood diseases as a full-time faculty member with clinical service, research (clinical and translational), and teaching responsibilities at the Assistant Professor or Associate Professor level.
The successful candidate must hold an M.D. degree and be board certified / eligible in Anatomic and Molecular Genetic Pathology. Expertise with next-generation sequencing and experience in developing and interpreting molecular genetic tests relevant to the diagnosis of pediatric genetic diseases and cancer is required. They will join an experienced multi-disciplinary team of physicians, laboratorians, genetic counselors, bioinformaticians and scientists at the Center for Personalized Medicine. They will perform, develop, and implement innovative genomic testing supporting clinical care and discovery at CHLA.

The annual base salary range for this position is $250,000-$300,000. When extending an offer of employment, the University of Southern California considers factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the candidates work experience, education/training, key skills, internal peer equity, federal, state, and local laws, contractual stipulations, grant funding, as well as external market and organizational considerations.
