Yu lab now focuses on autism genetics and translational genomics. Dr. Timothy Yu is a PI in the Division of Genetics and Genomics at Boston Children's Hospital and an Associate Member of the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard. Current projects range from computational genomic analyses of large autism cohorts to identify disease genes, to investigations of genome sequencing for newborn screening and neonatal ICU care, to the development of platform approaches for individualized therapy of rare neurogenetic diseases. We work collaboratively to analyze gene knockouts in a large-scale collection of whole exome and genome data from over 40,000 individuals with autism, gathered by the Simons Foundation and the Autism Sequencing Consortium.
