Weill Cornell Medical College (WCMC) is seeking a Clinical Research Scientist to join The Roth Lab within the Division of Pediatric Hematology and Oncology. This position requires a highly skilled and motivated individual with expertise in pediatric lymphomas, pediatric histiocytosis, genomics, and translational immunology. The successful candidate will lead innovative research projects aimed at identifying genomic and immunologic biomarkers of response in primary mediastinal B-cell lymphoma (PMBCL). The use of whole genome sequencing (WGS), whole exome sequencing (WES), spatial molecular imaging (SMI), and targeted DNA/RNA sequencing will be central to biomarker discovery.
The role will also involve fostering multidisciplinary collaborations, developing biospecimen protocols, and conducting advanced bioinformatics analyses in partnership with computational biology experts. Leadership within the Children’s Oncology Group, along with experience in writing and implementing clinical trials, is essential. A thorough understanding of how pathogenic genetic mutations relate to treatment responses in histiocytic disorders is also crucial. Furthermore, the ability to utilize advanced genomic techniques to detect and monitor these mutations in both peripheral blood and bone marrow—serving as biomarkers for disease behavior, relapse risk, and neurodegenerative outcomes—is important. These factors will be vital in establishing a pediatric histiocytosis center of excellence at Weill Cornell Medicine (WCMC) that provides innovative, advanced, and unique clinical care and research opportunities.
Salary from $200,000 to $225,000 commensurate with experience. Interested candidates should submit a CV, cover letter, and three references to Darline Victor at dav7008@med.cornell.edu
