The Woo lab is a newly established lab at WashU in St Louis and studies how cellular components of vasculature react and interact with each other in the context of hypoxia and pulmonary hypertension. Notably, work in our lab has advanced the understanding of how blood vessels remodel and has led to the discovery of potential genetic targets to prevent pulmonary hypertension. Our goal is to improve our understanding of cellular plasticity and vascular remodeling, that will in turn lead to new treatments for people at risk of developing pulmonary hypertension.
This is a great opportunity for scientific growth and potential contribution to publications. Lab members will gain experience working with tissue culture, cellular and molecular genetics, and mouse models of pulmonary hypertension.
