Staff Scientist - Biochemistry
Scheduled Hours40Position SummaryThe Pelham research group is broadly interested in understanding the molecular coordination of circadian rhythms. Circadian rhythms synchronize organismal physiology with the day-night cycle and regulate several biological processes like sleep, body temperature, and blood pressure. Disturbance of circadian rhythms contributes to disease pathogenesis, increasing the risk of cancer, stroke, diabetes, and impairment of immunity and mental health. We use molecular genetic, biochemical, and biophysical methods to study the proteins that regulate circadian time. In addition, we seek to understand the governing principles of their physioch
