The McManus Lab at University of California, San Francisco is seeking an animal technician. One focus of our research is to determine the mechanisms for gene regulation and function in mouse models, illuminating connections between genes and development/disease. The candidate will be working in a small team who are engaged in basic research.The SRA 1 will assist in immune and cancer cell injection in rodents, monitor tumor growth using IVIS imaging machine and acquire and input imaging data. The individual will perform animal monitoring, administer agents via intraperitoneal injection, oral gavage, tail vein injection and subcutaneous injection, and mouse irradiation to experimental animals, and animal euthanasia.
