A research technician position is open to join the Johnstone laboratory in the Department of Pathology at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute. Dr. Johnstone studies how DNA is packaged within the nucleus of cancer cells and how alterations of packaging impact transcriptional programs and tumor cell biology. It has long been characterized that the nuclei of cancer cells look atypical by histology, and this feature is used by pathologists for the accurate diagnosis of malignancy. We aim to more fully characterize the molecular mechanisms underlying this phenomenon, specifically focused on how the DNA fiber is topologically and epigenetically organized within the nucleus and how cancer-specific changes to this organization relate to tumor morphology and impact tumor cell state.  We use
