Harwell Lab - Full Specialist
The Harwell Lab, located at the UCSF Parnassus Heights campus, is seeking a highly motivated candidate interested in conducting basic science research with a focus on studying the molecular mechanisms of brain circuit development and function. Specifically, the candidate would be working with mouse models to understand mechanisms that influence the development of behavioral circuits in the brain. Ideally the candidate will be knowledgeable in systems neuroscience, whole-cell patch clamping, in vivo calcium imaging, and optogenetic and chemogenetic approaches to manipulate brain circuit activity. The candidate should also be knowledgeable in brain anatomy, mouse genetics, single cell transcriptomics, bioinformatics, and proteomic
